Genesis Featured Widget not aligning featured posts

I have installed this widget for the Innov8tive theme as per directions and it is not aligning the featured posts correctly in my “Latest posts section” the top line is jagged instead of in a row. My settings are identical to the one seen in this demo for the “Home Bottom” widget on this page. http://www.innov8tive.eightcrazydesigns.com/demo-site-widget-set-up/
However, there is a fix posted by the innov8tive theme, here:

I have changed the code in my style css to match this and I sill have no change at all. can you see why would this widget not work for me?
Sorry to ask here and not my themes support. I haven’t received an answer to this on the theme support page and I need help! 🙂
