On my website “http://www.casuallyemployed.com”, one of my commenter’s URL “http://www.zombieboycomics.com” has not been properly posting for my past ten updates. He manually types in his URL but after submitting his comment, the URL posts as…
    “http://www.casuallyemployed.com/comic/temper-temper/:/www.zombieboycomics.com.”
The “temper-temper” part in the URL is the title of my comic and changes based on the comic’s title he posts for.

He is the only commenter this is happening with and neither of us understand why. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Bill Murphy

  • This might be a really silly question and something you’ve already looked into but… how is he entering his URL? The way it’s captured now, it’s got an extra colon: http:://www.zombieboycomics.com

Did you confirm that he’s typing it http://www.zombieboycomics.com?

Thanks for looking into this for me! 😀

No I didn’t have any idea. Which link did you see the double colon in so I can correct it?

It might be entered that way in his Gravatar profile, and/or in the website field of his user record on your site. Or in the website field of his comments. (I’m clearly no expert in these things!)

You’re right essaysnark. It shows up as http:://www.zombieboycomics.com under his name in my moderate comments list.

Now I just have to find out where it’s linking from.

Thank you so much for your help! 😀
