Hello, I migrated my wordpress site to a new server (http://www.proximastudios.co.uk). I did all the things you’re supposed to do, I copied the wp-contents folder over, imported the new database over, changed the wp-config file to point to the new database, ran searchandreplace to change all instances of the old domain to the new domain and also ran velvet blues update URL to change the old images etc. to the new domain.

I can access the wp-admin panel fine, but the site itself is not displaying images or the theme.

The strange thing is that I can see the images in the correct folder in ftp or Cpanel but when I try and visit the direct link like: http://www.proximastudios.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/proxima-logo-red-p-blue-s.jpg, it says the file is not found… even though I can see the image is in that very folder.

If anyone could help I would be very grateful, thank you!

Ah nevermind, I got it to work.

For some reason the file permissions were set to 0700 for folders in wp-content and the files were set to 0600. I had to change them to 0755 and 0644 respectively, everything works fine now.
