Outbound link counter for FWP posts?

Greetings!

I would like to make popular posts on my page with wp_query. My permalinks point to the copy on the original website. I don’t want to open the posts in my page. I need to count clicks. So I think, the best solution is to make a custom field for the post, which tracks the outbound clicks.
The plugins I found make a separate database for the urls, or don’t count outbound links.
Is there a plugin, which can help me, or I need to learn a bit more javascript to rich my goal?
Or my approache is wrong?
