I’ve never tried this myself, but I’d be interested to know if you encounter any problems.
We are using GDE with W3 Total Cache (integrated with Cloudflare as well) with zero issues. It works very well, Cloudflare is handling minification and rocket loader is on and there are no problems.
I am developing a site using WP Simulator. When I invoke the plugin on my “Docs” page I get the following:
Docs
Please click “Download (PDF, 565KB)” below, and ignore any comments following! <–(this is my statement to direct my viewers to ignore the bogus “sorry” message)
`
Download (PDF, 565KB)<– (clicking this downloads the file perfectly)
Sorry, we were unable to find the document at the original source. Verify that the document still exists.
You can also try to download the original document by clicking here.
So, the file is there, is retreievable, only the message is wrong. I cannor include a link to this site, as it is only local for now.
acg,
Please consider starting new threads when your topic isn’t related to others, that helps people with similar issues find the solutions they are looking for as well.
There are in fact many threads in this forum asking this exact question. The file you are hosting must not be local, but public, per the FAQ. Your site itself can be local during development and the plugin will work, but the document itself must be public. Otherwise Google can’t fetch it for conversion.
If that is the case, and you’re still receiving this message, please reply with a link to the document you’re trying to embed so I can try it out.
Thanks,
Kevin
