My site isn’t live yet but I’ve been working on editing content that was transferred over from Blogger that my designer worked on. I am puzzled though that my YouTube videos haven’t transferred. I can see when in the edit mode the Permalink at the top for my video but it doesn’t show up as a video when going to the main page.

She suggested I embed the code which I tried but the code shows up when I preview. I’m sure it’s something that I’m not doing correctly, but if someone could shed some light on it for me I’d appreciate it.

In Blogger when I wanted to upload one of my YouTube videos I simply went to upload and it offered YouTube. Can WordPress.org do that as well?

    Looking forward to a reply.

I am not familiar with Blogger, but what I use to embed YT videos is the TinyMCE Advanced plugin:

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/

Where you want your video, click the Insert/edit embedded media icon, select media_dlg.iframe from the Type drop down, paste the YT URL in the File/URL field, set the dimensions and click Insert. There it is 🙂

    Cheers!
