it is not just the tags;
categories, archives, and search also do not work.
have you tried to deactivate all plugins to see if that helps?
what happens if you temporarily switch to the default theme Twenty Twelve?
what if you switch to the default permalinks?
did the links ever work before?
if you are not the developer of the theme, have you tried to contact them?
I was thinking the lack of a closing div just before footer was throwing the theme off…
Have amended the </div> tag.
Changed back to Twenty Twelve and the tags work.
Default permalinks makes no difference.
Not that we are aware of. Would prefer to fix in house before contacting developer, any more ideas?
Thanks,
Liam

Can you continue to use the Twenty Twelve theme or a theme distributed on WordPress.org?
Unfortunately not, no. We get quite a bit of traffic to the site so it wouldn’t be feasible.

Then you need to talk to the people who made that theme.
try to switch on DEBUG to possibly get some error messages instead of a white page;
