Page “updated” or “new” label

I have installed FAlbum and have it set up as a stand alone page from a link in my sidebar. Could someone please direct me in or to a resource for adding a simple script to superscript the text “new” or “updated” next to the page link whenever my fAlbum is updated? I’m not quite sure what the keyword would be in searching this. Any help is appreciated.
