Redirecting to subfolder

I had a wordpress site installed at http://www.northwooddp.com/wordpress. I wanted to change my wordpress site to open at http://www.northwooddp.com.

I changed the WordPress URL and redirected the root directory to the ‘wordpress’ sub folder my wordpress site is installed in. I can get to my wordpress site now with http://www.northwooddp.com but none of the pages or images are appearing. When i create new pages or images, it does not work. (i get an internal error)

What do I do?
