Background image for top nav

    I want to use an image for the nav bar in my twenty eleven child theme.

    I want this site to:
    lghwpmodelb.net

    look like this site:
    http://magnumpress.com

    I have tried to add
    background: url(/images/magnumPress/bg04.jpg);
    to the style.css and nothing is happening.

    Any recommendations on what to add and where?
