The widgets in Spun appear in a toggle menu underneath the content, so it’s possible you’re not seeing a counter widget initially, because you’d have to open the sidebar area first.
However, if you’re having problems with a specific plugin, please try contacting the plugin developers or posting in the plugin’s forum. This is likely not a theme issue but a plugin configuration issue.
Thanks (and nice work btw)
If I’m in the widgets page and can see the Sidebar, I have dragged the appropriate plugin into say Sidebar1….at this point I’m a little stuck hen it wont appear…
When you look at your site, you should see a plus sign icon at the bottom, underneath your content. (Test it with a WordPress core widget, like a Recent Posts widget, and you should see what I mean.) You’ll see this on the demo site:

This is where any active, working widgets will appear. Click on the plus sign to see them.
If you don’t see a plus sign icon after adding the widget to the sidebar, the widget probably isn’t working — likely because it needs additional settings adjusted, or it’s broken, or some other reason. That’s where the plugin developer comes in.
Thanks again – maybe I just need help getting any widget to work then. I dragged teh Search wigdet into the sidebar but it doesn’t seem to appear.
Other than that the theme is very easy to use and I’m quite happy with my first website http://www.sail-lbs.com
I see a bunch of widgets when I click the plus sign icon on your site. You may just need to clear your browser’s cache.
Thanks – just missed the + sign. thanks for the help
