The deleted pages can be restored from trash if you have not permanently removed trash.
Also review: http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup
I have deleted it permanently…and the back up is not updated regularly…
Also, i do have this backup file Backup File Name: 1367253210_-_dg5767_wrdp4.sql.gz for April 29,2013…Do you think I can use this?
How can I go over it? I am not really a techie person.
Then you may need to extract them from the above cited sql.gz.
Hi krishna, can you please explain your answer, because I am not a techie person..I don’t know where to go and t execute it…
Thank you
can you give me a step by step process please π thanks a lot….really need to do this…
If your site is live and if the backup contains stuff other than the pages that you want to replace, you have to import that file into a test site or a local install (on your computer) of WordPress. Once you locate the pages you want to restore, you can manually restore them to your site, which will be the easiest and the least troublesome.
I have a website which i can use.
So I need to unzip the one I sent you above?
Can you please tell me how to import the file using my other website?
If you don’t want the contents of the other website, just drop all its tables and try to import it.
I am lucky because the posts are still available in the website under Recent Post on the side bar….
But the problem is, the link for one artilce as example because like this
http://kimmana.com/138/delicious-alkalising-sprout-salad-with-ayurvedic-individualisation/
instead of http://kimmana.com/Newsletter/delicious-alkalising-sprout-salad-with-ayurvedic-individualisation/
The page title is supposedly Newsletter. When I edited the post it doesn’t show any option on how I level it like parent or under Newsletter page…
Is there any technique I could do?
I think the only problem here now it on how I could restore the blog page so that I can put all posts back there….
please help….
Is it the difference (138 vs. Newsletter) that deters you? Don’t worry, they are one and the same thing and Newsletter redirects to page ID 138. If you find differences in permalinks, just reset the permalinks to your choice and all links will have the same structure.
