Jetpack googlemaps Shortcode Not Working

The googlemaps shortcode, part of Jetpack, does not convert the Google Maps iframe html in the googlemaps shortcode when the page containing the iframe html in the content is updated. I can see that jetpack_googlemaps_embed_to_short_code is hooked to pre_kses. Have already tried various solutions found in searching Internet to no avail. My WordPress and Jetpack installations are up to date–Jetpack Version 2.2.5 and WordPress 3.5.1.
