Yes, indeed it is. In fact, I don’t think WP would import the theme even if you wanted it to.
Once installed and setup, navigate to the Wp-Admin, click on Import > Blogger, and follow the instructions.
Hmm this is wierd because I went ahead and used the import tool and followed the instructions and it did import the blogger theme along with the post. Then when I tired to make a new post using the WP write section of the control panel. The post did now show up. I also tried to switch to a WP theme and it didnt change the theme but continued to use the blogger theme. Am I missing something here?

That is impressive, there are some people around here who would really like to know how you did that (Some because they want to do the same and others because it is impossible).

well heh.. what eneded up happening was that i didnt change out the theme in blogger to the one in the instructions to import blogger post. So blogger just ftp the old theme and thats how that happened. SO what i did was i just reinstalled WP. Then I went to the blogger import tool and started that up. It kinda worked. What happened was that it only imported post from December 2001! see here

So I have to be doing something wrong somewhere. I just cant figure out were I went wrong. I did follow the directions given here

And that resulted in only the december 2001 post imported.

If you are using WordPress 2 you don’t need to follow those instructions. Just go to the “import” tab in the admin interface and follow the instructions. You should MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR BLOGGER TEMPLATE FIRST.
Ok so I went head and did just that. Use the import tab in WP2.0. Once again i got the same result, it only imported december 2001 post.
I must be doing something wrong somewhere hmmm…
Update!
Ok I think i got it to partially work.
I ran the importer again and this time two more months were added. I think the imported is bombing out and not finishing the process. I”m going to try again.
