After installing Better WP Google XML sitemap plugin, I got this warning: BPS Alert! Your site does not appear to be protected by BulletProof Security
I refreshed the browser and I uninstalled the sitemap plugin and the warning still there.

On the BP security status it says:

the htaccess file that is activated in your root folder is:
    BULLETPROOF .48.3 >>>>>>> SECURE .HTACCESS

Either a BPS htaccess file was NOT found in your root folder or you have not activated BulletProof Mode for your Root folder yet, Default Mode is activated, Maintenance Mode is activated or the version of the BPS Pro htaccess file that you are using is not the most current version or the BPS QUERY STRING EXPLOITS code does not exist in your root htaccess file. Please view the Read Me Help button above.

wp-config.php is NOT htaccess protected by BPS

what shall I do? shall I do the magic buttons again??

for the record my wp-config.php it’s outside my WP folder but it’s been like that befor Bulletproof was ever installed and it never complained !!

Yes. For whatever reason or reasons, other activity can occasionally cause BPS to need to be reset.

Cool thanks ! the alert is gone now after activating security modes again !

    Strange.

I think there is an issue with BPS .48.3:
I got the same error message after adding a new post, fixed it and now after I installed als an XML plugin the error message pops up again.

This happens to two different WP 3.5.1 installations now.

Never had issues with BPS before.

This is a very common issue/problem caused by the WordPress flush_rewrite_rules function used in some plugins >>> http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/read-me-first-free/#flush-rewrite-rules

If your Host allows you to lock your root .htaccess file you can prevent this issue/problem from occurring repeatedly.

I locked my .htaccess files and now it seems to be ok.
