Suspicious code in footer

Hello!

I got a theme outside wordpress.org, and did read that you always should check the theme for malicious code doing so. Looking for eval( and mail( was supposedly most important.

I downloaded Grep and searched for those codes and found this in the footer.php:

[Please do not post hack code here ]

also found over 100 hits on “mail”, so not gonna post all those here but is there anything special i should look for at the places i find it?

Very thankfull for help, because im not gonna put it on my serrver before i know for 101%, that the theme dont have any strange things in it.

P.S I dont know anything about “codes” and stuff, so dont get to technical if you feel for helping;)
