I have pretty much no idea, why always an authorisation window for connecting with FTP pops up, when somebody wants to access my website created with WordPress (3.3.3), including myself. Every time I restart my computer, I have to log in again. That’s really annoying because I have no idea what to do, to disable the log in request.

    Any suggestions are highly welcome!

  • The window pops ups because you are calling FTP:// as the request method.

Here is the link to your site as HTTP:// http://megapicsel.de/

Hi Justin. Thank you for your quick reply. Actually I request my site as http. At least it is what the URL says. So I’m confused and have no idea about it…

What url are you calling your website?

It looks like you posted not just FTP:// but you also posted http://ftp.megapicsel.de.

The site is still under construction so I’m not directing to the root adress yet. The actual url is:

    http://www.megapicsel.de/wp

That’s the link to the homepage

Okay, I figured out why my website called to ftp. Another issue with WP is, that I can’t create menues or upload media files with the latest versions of WP. 3.3.3 is the newest build that causes no trouble for me. Therefore I created links for the pictures in my slideshow and used ftp instead of http. That’s why constantly a window with authorisation request poped up.

Thanks Justin for helping me out.
