(note:I actually don’t know what version of WP, I’m on. I just installed it, but now can’t access anything, so I can’t look.)

Hi, my new web site is called unazunaknitting.com
    I installed WP in a subdirectory /wordpress.
In the settings, I tried to set the URL so that people could type the root and get to the WP site. However, I followed the instructions and copied the .htaccess file and the index.php file. Then I edited the index.php file, as instructed.

Now, I can’t access the dashboard. I get an error 404. At this point, I’d be happy to just change the whole thing back, but I can’t. How are you supposed to fix something when that happens?

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

well, I couldn’t figure it out. I just deleted the whole site and started from scratch. I did the home page re-direct before making any other changes and it worked.

I have no idea what i did wrong the first time. Oh well.

anyway, this post is moot, now.
