• I’m new to wordpress and have a very good understanding of Html5 and CSS3. I’ve built websites from scratch but only for practice and never loaded them to a server.

My question is I am going to build a WordPress for a family member/client. They currently have no website and no server. How do I go about this? Do I set up the service for them and work on their space? Or do I work locally from my own and then FTP transfer it to their server? Both will be Bluehost. Do I get them to sign up and get all the stuff for Bluehost, or do I do it for them with their credit card info? I’m not too clear, sorry for sounding so new.

    thank you

This would be, by far, the easiest method.

This is also possible using using a local WordPress install but then you’d need to review Moving_WordPress when it was time to move the site to its final home. As you’ll see, that’s not so straightforward.

If they can sign up for their own Bluehost domain name & hosting package, I’d get them to do that and then ask them to forward all technical details – including the hosting account management login details – to you.
