Changing gallery pages URLs | WordPress.org

Basically the galleries created will have their URL set as http://www.somerandomdomain.com/gallery/galleryname. How could i replace or remove the middle “gallery” tag so the page URL would be something like http://www.somerandomdomain.com/galerije/galleryname or http://www.somerandomdommain.com/galleryname ?

Managed to solve it with the use of additional plugin, custom permalinks

That is ok. But, i am already having category with the name of “gallery”. If i activate this plugin the entire gallery pages which are in the gallery category are broken.
like
mydomain.com/gallery/x
mydomain.com/gallery/y
page not found error is coming.
Tell me the solution for that…..
