Reset the permalinks.
Go to the admin section, then permalinks (on the bottom left), check what they currently are (example: custom: /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/), make a note of it, then choose the first option (default) and click save.
Then, once the menu loads again, change the permalinks back to the setting you just noted (custom – as exampled above) and save again.
It’ll take a little time, but your posts should work then
I received a suggestion and changed the custom permalink. Now it says to update the .httaccess. How do I do that?
According to news reports and other sources, a number of web-hosts are now under DDoS or similar attack, while others are busy setting up security measures. Who hosts your site?
http://status.1and1.co.uk/
IPage. They admitted the potential “attack” and reported that the problem was fixed, but in the process they apparently changed the URL to my site. Now I can’t figure out how to get everything connected again.
They shouldn’t have changed anything to do with your permalinks as that’s done via the database/wordpress admin panel
But they did. So now what?
How do your permalinks read now? CHeck the permalink option in wordpress
Hold on this – dinner calls – will reply tomorrow.
Never mind – it appears that IPage fixed all the links.
Glad to know that your links are fixed by your host!
