Nevermind. Multisite had me a little turned around. Got it figured out.

Ok – I have the same question.
I’m not running multisite.
Why is it showing me ver 3.5.2 alpha?
Where is 3.6 beta 1?
Try going to Dashboard -> Updates and selecting “Update Now”.
Same problem here. When I go to updates it just keeps reinstalling 3.5.2, there’s no 3.6a option.
It looks like you need to go to Tools -> Beta Testing and select “Bleeding edge nightlies”. After you do that, when you Update, you’ll get 3.6 Beta.
Still no joy for me π Maybe there’s a way to upgrade via svn?
Yep, setting it to bleeding edge, then run the updater one more time does upgrade my WordPress to 3.6 beta
geekmy – unfortunately the page returns with the same version, even after multiple upgrades.
Hi jjgleim – any chance you could share how you got it working in Multisite now you’ve worked it out.
Cheers
Turns out the solution has ( unsurprisingly ) been posted before:

In case you are wondering, go to the dashboard for the main domain on multisite and select Tools > Beta Testing and check “Bleeding edge nightlies”
Then return to the network dashboard and update from there.
perryb – right on the mark! Thanks. Been struggling with this for several weeks.
No worries, very frustrating when it happens too π
