    Hi,
    Im having some trouble getting postie configured for my WP site.

    Ever since I installed and activated Postie, Ive been getting this:

    Warning: the Admin username is not a valid WordPress login. Postie may reject emails if this is not corrected.

    How can I fix the first issue: “Admin username is not a valid WordPress login”

    The second issue (which may be related to the first issue),
    Why wont postie connect to the email server to retrieve the email?

    When I test the config, it responds:

      International support
      iconv: installed
      imap: installed
      mbstring: installed
      Clock Tests
      This shows what time it would be if you posted right now
      GMT: 2013-04-08 00:02:52
      Current: 2013-04-08 00:02:52

      Connect to Mail Host
      Warning: imap_open() [function.imap-open]: Couldn’t open stream {secure131.inmotionhosting.com :993/service=imap/ssl/notls/novalidate-cert} in /home/*******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/postie/postieIMAP.php on line 84

      Unable to connect. The server said:
      No such host as secure131.inmotionhosting.com

    This warning is talking about the “Admin username” setting on the User tab. This field must be the name of a valid WordPress user with admin permissions.

    That fixed the first Issue.

    For anyone following this issue

    I needed to go into the “user” tab in the postie plugin, and change the default:

    Admin username:Admin
    to
    Admin username: the “admin name” I chose at set up

    So that fixed the first error I was encounter.
    Ill noodle with the email server again and see if it helps.
