Sounds like you recently upgraded your WordPress and the upgrade didn’t complete successfully. Try:
- Switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP, CPanel, or whatever file management application your host provides.
- Resetting the plugins folder by FTP, CPanel, or phpMyAdmin.
- Re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
- Running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
At least that’s what I would try — assuming this was brought on by an upgrade of some type.
hi, I have a problem, and iam new user wordpress, I cant login my site, when ever I tried I receive this massage,
( Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/jubbalan/public_html/wp-admin/menu.php on line 81 )
I need your help how I can sort out this mess. THX
Thankyou jasonpaulweber,
I am now uploading and refreshing all folders except wp-content, and I have renamed twentyeleven as twentyelven-old in wp-content/themes, please help me out with the rest!! 🙂
I do not know how to reset the plugins folder using FTP… I don’t know what you mean…
Neither I know how to upgrade manually…
I have tried now after doing what explained above and the error message have change. Now I get “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare debug_fopen() (previously declared in D:\Inetpub\webs\memoriaselectivacom\wp-includes\functions.php:1133) in D:\Inetpub\webs\memoriaselectivacom\wp-includes\deprecated.php on line 2883”
You can reset the plugins folder by following these instructions.
Just use your web hosting company’s Cpanel’s File Manager. You can just go into wp-content / plugins —- right-click plugins, and rename it to plugins-old. Try logging into your dashboard now.
Still not working. I’m desperate. Thankyou anyway Jason
New message:
Warning: require_once(D:\Inetpub\webs/admin.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Inetpub\webs\memoriaselectivacom\admin.php on line 12
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘D:\Inetpub\webs/admin.php’ (include_path=’.;c:\php\includes’) in D:\Inetpub\webs\memoriaselectivacom\admin.php on line 12
I’d tell that to your shared hosting company. You’re using the 2010 theme currently … it shouldn’t be difficult to go to your web host’s control panel, back up your database, and just reinstall WP as I mentioned … and reinstall the 2010 theme.
hi jason, i need your help above mentioned question in order to access my website,
Thank you
@bashirahmed – if you need help, you need to start your own thread – this one belongs to someone else and you don’t have the same problem – his error message is different from yours.
You can start a new thread here: http://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting#postform
Hey, I made it!!! Thank you very much, jason, for your great advises!!!
