The links in the admin bar or as a separate menu are as easy to access as the old one, I really don’t get what the problem is 😉 The link under the Dashboard was confusing many people, the new options are more in line with WordPress’ Guidelines on the subject.

Okay that answers my question! I had not been accustomed to using the admin bar, except for one item, so it became background. I did not even see that SlimStat was up there! Upon upgrade loss of SlimStat in the left sidebar, I could not figure out how to get to SlimStat anymore! Apparently I’m not the only one … so much to do, always taking longer than expected, and less time to do it — we rely on learned pathways. A heads up on the change in the changelog would have been sweet but I understand you have your hands full, too. BTW, an over-populated (wrap-around) admin bar is a nuisance when editing, checking various screen sizes …

The changelog mentions it loud and clear, indeed 😉 And if you don’t like the menu in the admin bar, you can always choose to have it in the sidebar (Separate menu entry, in the settings).

i need the slimstat link above the dashboard. since the update to 3.0 there is no link. If I turn on the dashboard own menu, flashes on the above link, then disappears again. I would like to have it as before.

You can already have WP SlimStat either as an admin bar drop down or a separate menu entry in the left side navigation 🙂 That seems to be enough…
