Followers vs Subscribers

    I have followers and subscribers. Not sure how I got followers since there is no follow button other than twitter. That’s one problem, other problem is subscribers say they have never received an email.

    How do followers work? Also why does the subscribe widget use the follower count and not the subscriber count?

    How do subscribers work? Is there some plugin that is suppose to be installed or should I just uninstall JetPack. I’ve already had to deactivate many features as they were causing problems.

    As far as I know, subcribers only get notified via email once they’ve checked the box under the comment, which is per post, but there could be more to the plugin.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I did a test myself, checked the box and never got notified.

    Also doesn’t explain why subscribe widget is picking up follower count instead of subscriber count.

    Very weird behavior.
