Thanks, but the suggestions in those threads didn’t help. If I remove “feed:” from the address, I get this message:
XML Parsing Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity
Location: http://www.sarahannf.com/wordpress/?feed=rss2
Line Number 2, Column 1:<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?>
^
Any ideas?
I had that error this weekend due to some trailing blank lines at the end of a plugin.
What is the link to your site?
you have to change the 1.0 to 2.0 !
I don’t have any plugins installed right now.
In the sidebar.php for my blue horizon theme the code says:
I have more or less the same error.
What plugin?
(‘rss2_url) didn’t show up in my previous post.
Please take away “feed:” in the source, and read other treads about the same problem.
Dear friends,
Several hours after my installation, the RSS feed in the bottom still don’t work; sometimes the RSS file appears, and sometimes the return is a blank page.
And if I include or exclude the “feed:http…”, the results are the same above mentioned.
At the time I decide to create some WP blogs, some friends suggested to my to find another blog system, because the “WP is very instable”. I don’t believe, but now I am almost convinced that this is true. If so, it is a shame because the WP appears to be very good.
I will wait for one or two days and if this situation remains I will change to another blog. Some friends suggested to me the drupal.org, did you have any comments on this system?
Best regards and thanks.

That feed, at the bottom of your post above, works fine. Be sure to refresh your browser when viewing it (F5 or ctrl-F5)
As suggested, remove “feed:” in front of it in your theme files.
If you cannot make WP to work for you… drupal is much more compliacted. But it’s your choice.
Anyway, your feeds “almost” validate (see the validator results) and I am sure it would work perfectly when your site will validate, too:

Stop using that “not-so-smart” wysiwyg editor and half of your errors will be gone π
Thanks, Moshu, I will try to fix the errors. It is fanny, I used FrontPage, I go to use the NoteTab Pro to edit the html.
I’ve decided to wave the white flag. I’m restoring my site from a backup I did a few weeks ago. I’ll upgrade to 2.0.2 when I’m feeling less frustrated.
Going back to the older version of WordPress fixed the problem. I’ll upgrade some other time.
I got brave and did a fresh reinstall of 2.0.2. Everything works fine now. It’s like the old “turn off/turn on” trick for fixing something
