    any suggestions/constructive criticism is welcome. not much more that some simple mods of an existing template…but this is all rocket science to me…this is my first blog and the first foray into messing with css, so all concepts, techniques and terminology are brand new and martian

    Looks fine to me bbd, the header graphic is a nice touch.

    Although if you want your blog to come across a little more unique, you should consider downloading a newer blog template and making a few customizations here and there to give it some originality.

    thanks devil, i would like to do that yes…but i will wait for a bit to get my feet on solid ground by tweaking this. as i said, this is all new to me. i realize that one way to learn how to swim is for someone to throw you in…but just as an example, i recently tried to upgrade/update to the latest version of WP, followed the directions scrupulously, and ended up with a white blank page. luckily i had a recent backup so all was not lost…but i have no idea where i went wrong…will have to find and post in that forum…but it has made me a bit shy about trying new things
