Facebook Plug In & Application?

I have downloaded a few Facebook Plug-Ins and they have told me to create a Facebook Application and taken me to a Facebook Developer’s website. Does anybody know how to create a Facebook link from our website to our Facebook page without having to create a Facebook app ? I am totally confused on how to do this and this kind of info is a little over my head. If there aren’t any easy instructions “for dummies” like me being new to WordPress, I would be fine with somehow pasting a screenshot/image of our facebook page to a widget if that’s even possible (I have created text widgets but not a widget that includes a photo). Thanks for your help in advance if any of you have any suggestions!
