how to make it public

I try to have my website online. I’m with Ovh and in a \wip\ directory. I have aleady my website address.
Looking at the different discussions on this topic, I’m surprised to see how complicated it seems to answer to that simple question.
Everything is done as an admin, now what’s next. I’ve read several books, no answer.
Did I missed something?
