Search button doesn't get translated

The text on events search button doesn’t get translated. Switching the site language doesn’t affect the button. In my opinion the most suitable implementation would take the translation from the language file.
We’ve implemented a workaround for our customized templates, but when the last AJAX issues we experience are solved, that’d be a tricky one to maintain so that AJAX switches the button text between “Search” and “Searching…” on English pages and between two other texts on pages in other languages.
One way would be to create two buttons, one clickable, used when not AJAX searching; one not clickable, used while AJAX searching; and use two different translatable strings in them.
