Newbie Needs Help – Spam Attack

I appreciate anybody who could steer me in the right direction.

WordPress was set up for me and was working great until recently.

Now I get hundreds of the same exact e-mail spam and I can no longer post.

Should I delete WordPress? Where should I go for help with this?

Any links or assistance is greatly appreciated.
