• It has been suggested to save time moving from the old html website to WordPress that we copy over the old picture gallery and some of the old pages. This way we can have all of the old stuff that everyone wants but no one looks at! I have assumed that I could download the files on to the new web server and do a HTTP link to them. Where is the best place to keep them?

As I have not move to the new web host, I can not just go to http://www.bchra.org. I assumed it would be http:// 69…./~bchraorg/public_html/oldhtml where oldhtml is the forder I will keep the files in.

  • I’d start by simply downloading copies of all of the files that you want to keep to your computer for safekeeping. Is the new WP site going to be on http://www.bchra.org/ too?

We currently have the web site being hosted at another place that does not support WordPress. The idea is to get the new site working using WordPress and then get the domain reference transferred over to the new site on BlueHost. I am not a HTML coder and WordPress looked like it would do the job. The old site had been left for 2 years and links were lost, so I was not awhere of all of these pictures from the last 75 years that had been up on the site.
Oh well, we will get it done!
