    Warning: fopen(http://.../wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron=..) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! in ...\wp-includes\class-http.php on line 921

    I keep getting this error on a local server which does not have curl turned on. ( The debug mode is on. ) If the curl is enabled, it does not occur.

    Is there a way to disable this warning even though curl is not enabled?
