• Hi,

My site address is http://<site>.com.au/wordpress

And I’d like to change it to http://<site>.com.au before I launch my company.

Can someone help with some _really_simple_ instructions for doing this ?
I’ve read a number on the support site but haven’t followed them.

I think wordpress is installed to http://<site>.com.au/wordpress

Thanks !

• These are the actual instructions from the Codex on how to move your site.

Moving WordPress

It looks like what you are doing is moving your site from a sub-directory (it’s own folder) to the root of your site (your public_html folder) so those instructions would probably be what you need to look at.

Moving WordPress On Your Existing Server

Read all of the instructions carefully before starting however, because there is a step or two that – if taken in the wrong order – can make some extra work for you.

Hi,

I’ve managed to change the URL – no major WordPress relocation just .htaccess & index.php, and change the ‘site URL’ setting.

All works ok except 2 ’email me’ forms.

Any suggestions why these don’t work?

Many thanks
