Adding wordpress posts to my index.php

Ive been looking for a while now but nothing ive seemed to try has worked so im asking for some help.

Here goes.

What im trying to achieve is bring the 4 recent posts from my subdomain to display on my subdomains index.php.

I would like to bring through a picture if it contains one, the username of who posted the post, the time and date, the tags and the comments number aswell as a brief taken for the passage in the post and also a read more that takes the user to the blog post.

Here is an example of what im trying to do but he has done this on wordpress i would like to do i on my subdomains index.php
