severe registration issues

I upgraded http://www.chsquotebook.com to version 2.0 when it came out. Before that I was recieving emails whenever a new user registered, etc. Afterwards, however, not only did I stop recieving notifications, but those who registered did not recieve their password.

Before I had upgraded there was an issue with people who had been given passwords and changed them being unable to login. They’d request a new password and try that and it still would not work.

I’m really starting to get frustrated and don’t know what to do. I’d like to set up the registration page so that new users can choose their password from there. But regardless, I need to have the email portion working again so that users who have had issues with their password can send off for a new one and actually recieve it.
