• Hello,

I have a self hosted wordpress website that used to be a .com wordpress site. And now from time to time(and its completely random on people and times) it would sent people to the old .com site(which doesnt exist anymore).

    The website is downthepipe-wh.com

What is going on here? and can you help?

    Thanks,
    Mike

It may be when (only when) people click on some of your old site URLs, for instance:
    <a href="http://downthepipewh.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/down-the-pipe-episode-1.mp3">LISTEN HERE</a>

Log in to your hosted account. There should be something there like domain center or manager, etc. Check where your domain is pointed to – if you can’t find it ask your host for assistance.

Krishna: It happenes even if people try to access the main website.

Kmessinger: Would that be the people who are hosting the server info or the people I registered the domain name with?

The link I quoted above is from downthepipe-wh.com if that is your main website.

yes that particular file was on the old site I fixed it. however Im saying if you go straight to downthepipe-wh.com sometimes it wont work.

For me it is the people hosting the server. I had to point my domain at public_html/ourexcellentadventures.com but I suppose not all hosts are the same.

Yesterday all I could reach is the old site. Today all I can reach is the new site.

How do I get in contact with WordPress employee’s? cant find a button for that

There are no WordPress employees. WordPress is free software and the support here is done by volunteers.
