Confirmation E-Mails are Not Being Sent

    Hi there,

    I installed Subscribe2 as directed in the instructions. However, I created a dummy e-mail to test the subscription form and no confirmation e-mail was ever sent. I tried this multiple times with different e-mail addresses, checked the spam folder, changed the settings slightly, still nothing.

    @ilyena05,

    Install a mail logging plugin on the site. Either of these is fine:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/email-log/

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-log/

    If these record the email being created then the issue is on your hosting server and the email is being rejected / blocked / dropped. You will need to then discuss with your hosting provider.

    Thanks so much for the quick response.

    I tried to install the first plug-in (e-mail log) and received this error message:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare maybe_create_table() (previously declared in /home/pdenison/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/install-helper.php:54) in /home/pdenison/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php on line 1307

    For the other plug in, I installed it but can’t figure out where/how to track the e-mail. I reached out to that developer for guidance and will let you know if the issue gets resolved.

    @ilyena05,

    I’ve never had issues installing either plugin. Try re-installing WordPress and see if that helps.
