• My web site is now showing up in google.

However, one of the links is to a page I haven’t created.

The link consists of my web address with /author/admin at the end. When I click on it, I am led to an incomplete version of my front page with some elements missing. It’s weird. I can’t find this page anywhere on my wordpress web site.

Any guidance appreciated as I am stumped.

    Thanks

may be due to cache – google may drop it in whenever they clear cache.

I think I am confused by the situation as I have never created the page Google has indexed. How has it been generated? Could it be a site map plugin? I use Yoast.

The link is in all your posts.

    Thank you kmessinger. Great help.

Now it starts to make sense.

I wonder why google has indexed a page but without the ‘title’ at the end of the web address. Instead it’s given it a title, in its index, taken from the authors’ name, PaulandSue.

Any idea how I can remedy this?

No clue. It is a legitimate link. If you change it to the link you want it won’t show up on Google.

Last question. I promise. What’s the easiest way to change the link? Thanks

The link is where it says by paul and sue so I would think that you have a setting somewhere where you put a link in. I am not familiar with your theme. So theme, plugin, author – somewhere having to do with posts.
