Did you install WP in your root directory? Then yes, WordPress will override your default home page.
You should install WP in a subdirectory and link to it from your home page.
OK, thanks, khodle.
I’ve created a new directory (FOLDER?), and named it wp, for the moment. However, I’ve lost the theme (I think I had one already, not really sure), but here’s a link to what will be my blog, linked to from my Home Page:
I believe I’m not completely done on this, and if you could point out the problems, you see, I’d appreciate it.
Here is a link to a screenshot of my files

ALSO, for the WP directory:

Yes, a folder on your local computer is the same as a directory on your server.

If you have WordPress installed in that “wp” directory, your theme should be located in wp-content >> themes. It looks like your default theme is missing. You can install/reinstall all themes from Dashboard >> Appearance >> Themes.
Once you get that going, you can link to it from your main website, which is showing up fine now.
The above is what I get when I click “Manage WordPress” in my Hosting Details Control Panel.
How did you move WordPress to the “wp” directory? You can just move them via FTP. You’ll need to follow the directions here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Moving_a_Root_install_to_its_own_directory
Depending on your host, it may be easier just to ditch your current installation and reinstall WordPress. You should be able to use the same database.
I cut and pasted the files from my FTP program.
I’ve just deleted and am trying to reinstall, will see what happens.
Sorry, when I said “You can just move them via http://FTP.” I should have said “You can’t just move them via http://FTP.”
But given what you’ve got, I think a reinstall is your best bet.
