    Hey they,

I’ve just been setting up and tweaking wordpress for my blog am so far very impressed. One of the cooler features is the whole custom permalink thing.

I was wondering if there was a plugin or a code snippet that would allow me to use the same mod_rewrite deal for the pages function.

For example, if I wanted to set up a downloads page from within WordPress could I rewrite the url so that it appeared as max.uttx.net/files/ as opposed to max.uttx.net/index.php?p=01

Thanks in advance (even for just reading this far =D)

  • just create a page, and make the page title “files”

as long as you’re using any kind of custom permalink for the posts (anything but /index.php?….) it will automatically make it yoursite.com/files

    hope that makes sense

Plenty. Thank you, I didn’t realise it was automatic.
