WP-admin 404 error

    Hi! I need help. I cannot access my admin dashboard. I can see the dashboard menu on top (the one with the ‘howdy’ greeting) but the rest of the page is a 404 error. I’ve already tried to reinstall wordpress from scratch to no avail. I’ve already uploaded a fresh htaccess file but it remains the same. What else can I do? I’ve been having this problem since last year, way before the new version of wordpress so I don’t think it’s my wordpress installation that’s having a problem. Many thanks!

    UPDATE: I read from another thread how someone had the same problem as I do. Whenever he tried to login using an admin account, he also gets a 404 error, however, when he tried to login using a contributor account, he can see the dashboard perfectly. Tried to do the same and it worked! However, I really need to fix my admin access. Anyone have a good idea what’s going on? Thank you!
