Theme Options Page

I’m wanting to create a theme options page for my theme. Mainly so that I can add the option to have or not to have a sidebar, as well as any other options I may think of later on. But I’m not sure how to go about it, I tried searching but most of the tutorials I come across are a couple of years old and I want to make sure the info I have is up to date.

Does any one know any easy tutorials, or some simple copy paste examples with at least a sidebar option?
