Scheduled Posts not Posting

I have searched the forum topic threads and found years-old threads or a list longer than I am tall of things to disable or code geek stuff.

None of these have helped me solve the problem myself. I’m turning here for help. Thanking anyone in advance who might point me to an easier fix, in English. (pretend you’re explaining it to your Mom, that’s about right…jk, but close)

I’m running DIY Theme over WP 3.5 on a Mac. The issue is that I schedule posts fine but they never seem to post lately. I see a “missed” notation on my Dashboard but that’s not really telling me why.
