Setting Domain to wordpress Folder does not work propperly | WordPress.org

Hi,
If I set a domain to my wordpress folder it fucks up the font, like this:
http://www.frankenbacher-hof.de/

It only works with the domain I installed WordPress with:
http://wp1103718.wp268.webpack.hosteurope.de

Can anyone tell me how to fix that?

Hi Nico,

Open the functions.php file of your theme and add these lines:
```
update_option('siteurl','http://www.new-site-address.com');
update_option('home','http://www.new-site-address.com');
```
Refresh your site and then remove them. It should work just fine from the new URL.

You can also do the same from the WP admin, under settings -> General and via the database.

thanks, worked really good, just used this:

update_option(‘siteurl’,’http://www.new-site-address.com’);
update_option(‘home’,’http://www.new-site-address.com’);

Those lines basically update the WordPress database with the new URL of your site. You can safely remove them once you’re able to login to the admin area 🙂
