This is the second time in one week that my posts have missed their scheduled publication time. When I login into my dashboard, it says “Missed Schedule” in red next to the post name. When I click, “Edit Post” and “Update” it publishes immediately.

I wondered if maybe it was because of the 3.5 update, but then I realized I had posted multiple times since updating and everything went on schedule.

This is the first time I’m encountering this problem – but it has now happened two times in a row.

    My blog is: http://www.PrayersAndApples.com

  • Hello,
this may be due to WordPress cron, (which I believe is the file which activates the posting of future posts) well it needs to be manually activated. The way the WP system activates the cron is when someone visits the site. “Missed Schedule” would imply that cron did not activate the posts publishing time.

try to visit the front side of your site on the day your post needs to be posted, after the time to post.

    HTH.

There’s actually a known issue with scheduled posts in WP3.5 – it will be fixed in 3.5.1
