after update Template is missing error

    I upgraded from 2.4 to 3.0 and now my Themes page tells me that Oenology is broken, the template is missing. I DLed the current zip file and couldn’t find a template file in it. What have I done wrong? Also I don’t know if it matters but I do have a child version with some simple changes to the styles.css file only.

    I cannot remove the theme and reinstall it for some reason. I guess damaged themes cannot be removed from WP.

    Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the theme’s folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Thanks but it made no difference. I’m also having extreme issues getting my header image to work. It’s a PNG file which I don’t think should make a difference ..

    This kind of problem is why I don’t update my site often ..

    The problem turned out to be that the style.css file did not have a Template reference to the parent theme.

    I had just copied the style.css file from the theme I wanted to use.

    I’m a bit behind in following up on support. Sorry for the delay.

    Looks like you got this one figured out as well. Let me know if you have any other issues using a Child Theme.
