Installed 3.5 and got blank 'under development' screen.

    I just installed wordpress on my host ipage.com, and am just getting a blank screen with the sentence ‘site under development’ up on the window tab. This has never happened before, and am at a complete loss. Here is the link:

    any help I would greatly appreciate!

    Hi There

    You may find that you have an existing index.html (or index.htm) file in the main folder of your website which is created by default by your web host. The main folder will have the name root, public_html or htdocs.

    If this is the case, the web browser will load the index.html file first instead of the index.php file which is used by WordPress

    You will need to use your ipages’s file manager, or use an ftp client to look for an index.html (or index.htm) file in the root folder and delete it.

    Once the file has been deleted, your web browser will load the WordPress index.php file instead.

    I only found the index.php, not any of the others.

    I did find home.html? Should I get rid of that?

    Hi there

    Yes, delete home.html Some web hosts have it named home.html or default.html instead of index.html
