Screen options 999 issue

    I have used this plugin without any problems on several 3.5 sites but just noticed that it sets my Screen Option for number of Posts to display to 999 and I can’t change this; this puts a huge load on the server when the site has a lot of psts. I ran a P3 plugin test and your plugin uses more than all others. Can you fix or explain this situation? Thanks. Otherwise, just love it!

    @hijiri — is there any reason why your plugin works on posts and custom posts but not pages?

    Because, Pages have ‘order’ attribute which change page order with default.

    @hijiri — Yes, but changing the “order” attribute is a LOT slower than drag and drop.
    I think drag and drop to order pages would be really great!

    @hijiri — Awesome!

    I use your plugin on nearly every site I build. It’s great to hear the next update will be (in my opinion) even better still!

    I think the challenge will dealing with child pages. Child pages should probably be allowed to be re-ordered within their parent only. And dragging a parent page should move all it’s child pages with it.

    I’ll support Child Pages and also Child Posts with next update ver.2.0.0.

    When you sort any item, the Relation of parent item between it’s child items is maintained, but those items cannot move together as you mentioned…

    How do I change it from 999 —

    I am using v2.04, and it seemed to slow my site to the point of crashing.
    I thought it was the 999 issue.
    I have some categories with as many as 10,000 posts.

    Should the plugin work OK?

    Because problem does not understand well, please can tell once more in detail.

    ‘Screen Options’ can not change? or, In case of the many posts do not work well?

    In case of many posts, does not work well.

    Reorder posts on admin dashboard works OK.

    But pages of site load slowly and server experiences high load.
